In 2006, KangaROOS licensor One7 LLC relaunched the iconic ROOS brand in the US. For the next two years, they worked to get their shoes on shelves across the US (no mean feat). By 2008, they were ready to focus on their digital strategy and, in seeking a partner, found their way to Studiocom and my team of agile developers and business strategists.
Working in Joint Application Development sessions (or, simply, JADs), we worked to develop their strategy and their marketing platform simultaneously, using sketches to progress to rough prototypes, and user testing (Userlytics) to progress to a finished website.
The JAD process, from inception to the first Gold build of kangaroosusa.com took 42 days, including not only the Flash and AS3 work but the marketing strategy, analytics, production, a product and lifestyle photo shoot, and the construction of a rough CMS to allow for easy updating of the website inventory.

Updated 08/15/25: As Flash is very much not supported on any browsers any more (RIP), I've made a video of the site experience by running it locally on a Flash emulator (Ruffle), above.
