In the example above, my FlashSquares component is randomizing wipes across a library of images and quotes based on an author-defined grid used to dynamically mask the image. No big deal today, but I was proud to have created this as a reusable component back in 2005 and produced two other projects using the same technology later that year (as a freelancer). Although this is not a new concept for software developers, many agencies today still struggle to invest fully in this very lucrative resource. I believe that successful service groups are those that demand of their agents a thoughtful analysis of each project as a potential to discover re-usable patterns that either need to be created, or which have been created before and can be used again in some form or fashion.
