HMCo | 2003

My very first Fablevision project, and my first time using Actionscript. This was before AS was approaching object oriented (AS1), and let me assure you: this was no mean feat, even for an experienced Actionscripter (my boss at the time, who helped me tremendously). I know I sound like a douchebag when I say it, but some of the stuff going on behind the scenes with the eManipulatives was truly innovative for the time, and the hit detection for RoboPacker was crazy complex as well (given the lack of proper hit detection for natural shapes in AS1).

I should note that for the Houghton-Mifflin Co. eManipulatives (all) and eGames (RockHopper and RoboPacker), I did not handle the art direction or graphic design/animation, except for RoboPacker, for which I did design the in-game UI myself.
